What is up my guys and gals,
I hope your new year is off to a great start!
I kicked mine off with getting sick with some variant or other though I have not yet decided which one… all in all it wasn't too bad, some sniffles, a sore throat, some low energy… and that's pretty much it.
Sorry, I wish it had been more exciting, but contrary to popular opinion it wasn't. In fact, it was really just a cold.
But let's get down to business!
Numero Uno, This week’s wonderings:
Get ready for the biggest self-development and creativity tip that I could ever give you. The strange hack that changed my life, opened up my mind, drastically improved my mood, and made me question everything that the “experts” had ever told me.
How's that for an opening hook? (I am currently reading a book called “great leads” about how to write persuasive and intriguing content so let me know if it’s working)
I don’t talk about it much here but I am one of those “weird diet people”. If you read between the lines or if you read every edition (shout out to my ride or die readers) then you might have picked up on this, but if not I will just tell you now, I only eat meat.
I came to the carnivore diet from the keto diet which I got into a few years back for its apparent and anecdotal mental health benefits of all things… Turns out our brains really like fat and most people don't get enough of it these days (which probably explains why a lot of people can’t really think).
But anyhoo.. keto led me to carnivore which is basically keto without the veggies, why you ask?
Because it turns out veggies make a lot of people bloated and mess with their body’s ability to absorb the nutrients from their meat (yes meat has the nutrients your body needs). So taking the veggies out can really improve a lot of health issues.
I know it sounds crazy but when you look at how humans evolved for thousands of years and how we literally became human around the time we started eating meat as species it kinda makes sense.
But the reason I bring all this up is that January is “World Carnivore Month”. It is the month to give this diet a try and to have all your wildest dreams come true! Literally, your dreams may come true.
I consider it my duty to promote this way of eating after all that it has done for me so I would be negligent not to plug it at least a few times to you, my dear readers.
So yea I know it sounds crazy but you know what is crazier? Spending your life sick and miserable and depressed because you eating something that is poisoning you every single day (Hello gluten, processed carbs, seed oils, and sugar)
But you don’t have to just take my word for it here is a link to thousands of others who have healed from all kinds of sickness and disease by giving this crazy old diet a try.
After all, my goal with this newsletter is to explore self-development, to find sustainable self-help, to highlight tools that light up our creativity and set us free to be more human, to be more wonder-filled, and to take action on our ideas.
Turns out it's way easier to start a new project when you don't feel like shit all the time, it's way easier to come up with ideas when you're not always drowning in brain fog, and it's way easier to be productive when you actually feel like doing things!
I could go on but I won’t, all I can say is that if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired then this is the only new year’s resolution you really need because it's gonna make everything else get better.
So yea this week's creativity tip is all tied up in the letter above… if you feel ripped off, don’t. It really is legit.
Numero Duo: Side Hustle Idea you can start today
Ok shout out to my boy Jeff Duhan who is making a living off flipping phones, yes that’s right he is making a full-time income (and a pretty good one at that) by buying cell phones and then selling them again. And what’s more, he is teaching other people how to do it as well. This is one of those no BS get right after side hustles that I love, you don’t need some weird skill and you don’t a whole pile of expensive tools, ya just need the internet and a bit of cash…
I will link up Jeff’s Story Right Here
Numero Tres: Person or thing that inspired me this week
Shout out to Dr. Shawn Baked who basically started this whole Carnivore Diet thing, his interview on Joe Rogan has reached millions of people and helped them to turn their lives around with simple dietary changes, the guy is a beast and it is so amazing to see a doctor actually helping people truly heal and get better instead of just trying to stick a needle in them or push them some pills.
I will link up his Rogan Interview and Instagram right here
Numero Quatro: Song I am loving right now.
This one is a banger, grab a coffee or some pre-workout and then throw this tune on and you will be buzzn!
Nothing like caffeine and good music… it really is the little things.
That’s all for now folks!
Let’s make this year the best one ever, I appreciate every single one of you and I always love hearing from you!
I hope you got some value from this week's letter. I might have lost a few vegans but I guess I can live with that (I am just joking I even love the vegans)
Lastly, this is your weekly reminder to never give up. Things can change more than you can possibly imagine and God has a wild and wonderful plan for you. I think one of you needed to hear that so just know that even if your life is shitty right now it’s not gonna stay that way.
Keep your heads up, kids,
Yours in the meat of it,
Ben
